NCDMB National Undergraduate Essay Competition 2026

The 10th NCDMB Annual National Undergraduate Essay Competition is an annual competition sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to encourage academic excellence, critical thinking and awareness of Nigerian Content among young people. The 2026 edition challenges students to explore the role of manufacturing in promoting sustainable local content development in Nigeria. The competition is open to eligible 100–200 level undergraduate students in Nigerian universities and polytechnics. Participants must submit an original essay of no more than 1,500 words on the announced topic. The competition offers cash prizes, laptops, certificates and an opportunity for the winning essay to be published in NCDMB's Local Content Digest
